Summer Staff Training Weekend 2014

The countdown is ON to Summer 2014! With less than a month until the start of camp, the summer staff got a head start with a training weekend on May 31-June 1 at the camp.

It was a beautiful weekend as staff took part in CPR, Ropes and programming training. It was also a great opportunity for new staff to meet each other and get a sense of what Camp Kawartha is all about. The summer kitchen staff came together and practice their new recipes and ideas with the staff. It ended with an open house as we had the pleasure of hosting new families coming and considering camp for their first time. The weekend was a great success and has us wishing for the summer to start tomorrow.

From June 3-6, another group of our summer staff return for Wilderness Advanced First Aid training to help prepare us for another successful tripping program this summer. This is followed by pre-camp training beginning on Fri. June 20th followed by campers arriving on Fri. June 27th for our Leadership programs, our Mini-Kawartha Day family camp on Sat. June 28th and our official Opening Day for Session A on Sun. June 29th. We look forward to seeing you all!!!!
